I'm back from vacation with lots of good memories and, of course, a few extra pounds. I wasn't doing all that great before I left and I didn't get better on vacation. No matter how much walking I do, I can't out-exercise all those restaurant meals, beers, fancy coffees, ice cream, etc.
My goal this week is to stay below the calorie goal MyFitnessPal has set for me. My calorie goal goes up with activity (measured with Fitbit and Runkeeper), but even with those adjustments, I usually still go over. I'm going to try to stay below the original amount, skip the extra calories even when I am active, and see how that goes.
I'm also going to start Juneathon, an exercise challenge similar to Janathon, the month-long exercise challenge I did back in January. I'll do a separate post for that, but hopefully that will also help me shed these extra pounds. Eric said he'd join me in Juneathon and I think my friend Dave will, too.
