Freezer Cleanup Thoughts

I don't know what I eat over the course of the week. Obviously I'm eating a lot (too much), but I don't know where it's coming from (ie, not the freezer). I did eat a partial bag of frozen peas, mostly by putting them on salads I made with romaine hearts we have left over from our last Costco trip. And we used two more pounds of ground beef for hamburgers. And Eric is cooking the $50 pork butt in the grill/smoker today. He has a Smokenator to put in the Weber kettle and this is the first time he's used it. He says we'll have pulled pork when it's all said and done.

Of course, I threw out the few things I mentioned, such as the gross frozen drinks. But there is still a lot of food in there. I didn't even eat a frozen pizza this week. Instead, we made our own.

I added a bag of homemade hamburger buns to the freezer, too, that were starting to go stale.

Oh, I ate a frozen fruit bar. That felt like a victory.

No progress made on the duck, though.

So I will continue to try to work my way through the frozen foods in the house. I didn't buy any frozen foods this week, at least.

Someday maybe we'll have a clean freezer. At least now I know what's in there.
