Exercises: Days Five & Six

Yesterday, I did the exercises before leaving home for my brother's wedding. The plank was harder, I think because I've been doing the sit-ups first. I did it in two segments, after I collapsed in the middle. Then I did the exercises in my hotel room this morning, but the carpet was slick and I had a hard time keeping my footing. Once again, I didn't complete the minute of plank. I probably should have gone down to the fitness center but I didn't feel like it.

I did go on a good hike with Eric (my husband) yesterday at Graham Cave State Park. It was hot, but the trails were nice, there was some water to walk through, and it was mostly shaded. We saw lots of neat rock formations (not the least of which was the cave) and two black snakes. I'll post pictures and a full report tomorrow. And I had an idea for a big challenge - to try to visit every Missouri state park next year. I'm not sure if that's even possible, but it sounds good.

For now, here's a picture of a storm rolling in over the Colonel Bolton House, where my brother, Patrick, and his fiance, Liz, are getting married today.

The Colonel Bolton House holds its own against the storm.
