Next Challenge - Holiday Decluttering

The Household category is up next, so I'm going to undertake some more decluttering. I've done some random, unreported decluttering since I last wrote about it and every area that's been decluttered feels sooo much better, I'm inspired to keep going.

Cherry and cranberry liqueurs I made this year, that I'll be giving as gifts.

The overall rule for this week of gift-giving and receiving will be: One in, one out. If I receive a gift of something I already own, or similar to, or serving the same function of something I already own, one of them has to go. If I get a book, I'm going to get rid of a book. If I get a t-shirt, I'm getting rid of one of the old ones, even though I did just get rid of five t-shirts. (I keep my t-shirts in a stack and it had started to grow. The unofficially rule there is that the stack must stand up. When it leans, it gets thinned out. )

Things I can consume don't count.

If I have time (why do I think I might have time this week? Because I am delusional...) I would also like to declutter my holiday decorations. We don't do much decorating, but there are three boxes of stuff up in the attic, so I should go through it.

I don't know how much physical stuff I'll get for Christmas this year. One of my gifts, which I already know about, is an experience. As for the others, who knows? I may not have to do too much work. But I'm going to get rid of something every day, regardless.
