This will be a short, boring post, but I wanted to post an update, lest you think I've failed already.
Yesterday, I walked after work. Because I didn't have to change clothes or shoes to walk, I was able to leave right away and I made it back before dark. The sun set in the last five minutes, not the first. However, since I walked, I was much less likely to trip anyhow.
Then I walked again today after work. All day I'd planned to run, but when I finally got home, I was too tired. Someday I'll have to do a "run seven days" challenge and see if how I fare.
Maybe. Shuffling counts as running, right? Because that's about all I could have handled today.
But that's the thing about these challenges. I don't know what I can do until I try. Often I'm capable of much more than I would have guessed. No matter the length of your challenge, a week, a month, even just one day, it has the power to reveal something about your strength and personality. Life gives us plenty of challenges without us adding to the list, and we often meet those and surprise ourselves, but I believe by challenging ourselves, we can build the strength we need to meet and rise above any challenge.
At the very least, we can say we tried.
Now I'm off to the couch. :)
